DAYTONA BEACH, Fla, - Here is the latest on Tropical Storm Isaias from the National Weather Service for greater Daytona Beach as of 5 am: TS Isaias is currently centered about 60 miles east of the Volusia County coast as it continues to move northward offshore towards the Florida-Georgia line about sunrise.

Volusia’s County’s Votran transportation system temporarily suspended service at 3 p.m. today to prepare for Tropical Storm Isaias’ continued movement up the Florida coast.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- A voluntary ecacuation order will be issued 8 a,m. Sunday for beachside residents and those living in mobile homes near the coast, Volusia County officials said.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- IIn preparation for the inclement weekend weather due to approaching Hurricane Isaias this weekend with a hurricane watch now in effect, Volusia County’s Beach Safety and Coastal divisions are securing all assets on the beaches.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. -- A little after 5 o'clock this evening a 22 year old womanm from  Sanford, FL was on her surfboard in chest deep water when she was bitten on the foot by a shark in the 4600 block South.
