DAYTONA BEACH -- Volusia County sheriff's investigators along with county firefighters were on the scene of a house fire just west of Daytona Beach Wednesday afternoon where the body of a woman was found inside the charred home in the Daytona Highridge Estates subdivision.

The boardwalk has two, 35-foot-long extensions from the main structure. Removal of them would provide for better visibility. Its exam week at New Smyrna Beach High School and the stress is getting to most students. We’ve been preparing for the tests, but the pressure is still present. Our schedule is very different this week; we have Friday off as a time for teachers to put in report card grades. Monday is a normal day however, it is the only one.

The gunman turned himself in and was charged with felony drug offenses, but police did not charge him in the homicide while their investigation continues.because he may have been defending himself.
Responding cops found LeKeefe D. Lee slumped in his car, having suffered a gunshot wound to the to the right side of his body below the armpit, apparently crashing the vehicle after being shot. Lee was pronounced dead at the scene inside the car.

The paving crew wrapped up the final pass on the apron in Turns 1 and 2 in the late afternoon, following some inclement weather in the morning.
