NEW SMYRNA BEACH – The City Commission tonight approved a resolution allowing the developer of the proposed Hampton Inn & Suites on Flagler Avenue to be designated as a Qualified Target Industry Business.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Patrick Henry won the special election for the zone 5 city commission seat tonight that his older brother was forced to vacate because of pending charges that absentee ballots were illegally obtained before last August's primary.

Closure for Orange Avenue Bridge in Daytona Beach for maintenance postponed

DAYTONA BEACH -- The Orange Avenue bridge will not be closed for maintenance Thursday as previously
announced. The maintenance will be rescheduled, county spokeswoman Pat Kuehn said.
