Name recognition doubled-edged sword for NSB mayor with relative's arrest

When you are the mayor of a small community like New Smyrna Beach, you have to take the good with the bad. NSBNews.net takes no pleasure in linking Monday's DUI arrest of Mark Christopher Barringer to Mayor Adam Barringer. But the name recognition is too strong not to make the family connection for those who might be asking if there is one.

When the younger Barringer was arrested last year on a DUI charge that resulted in a crash with another motorist, NSBNews.net took a great deal of flak for not reporting it beyond what was in the daily New Smyrna Beach police listings that are posted on this website every day.

Middle class now in the category of the poor, something GOP House speaker Eric Cantor doesn't understand

Republican Eric Cantor has the nerve to call the demonstrators against Wall Street a “Mob.” That tells me that he is afraid of the American people who are rising up against the politicians and just may get him and others ousted from their cushy congressional seats.
