The newspaper claimed that Donald Trump had written a lewd birthday message to the late, convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. Trump is under intense pressure from his usually loyal supporters due to his lack of transparency surrounding the Epstein case. In response, the president has asked a federal court to unseal the prosecution's grand jury testimony against the disgraced financier, to put the issue to rest.

The president reiterated on social media that he asked the DOJ "to release all Grand Jury testimony concerning Jeffrey Epstein, subject only to Court Approval."
