PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Supervisor of Elections Lisa Lewis has demonstrated her transparency throughout the 2016 campaign season -- even appearing at an open forum during a debate series last month, in preparation for today's Sunshine State primary for city, county, state and federal races.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- A recount washas been ordered in the South Daytona Mayor’s race, beginning at 9 am on Friday.

The recount will take place at the Department of Elections, Historic Courthouse, 125 W. New York Avenue in Deland.

The preliminary results indicate that of the 2,599 total votes cast; William "Bill" Hall received 1,302 votes or 50.10 percent and George F. Locke III received 1,297 votes or 49.90 percent.
