Ups and downs of news
The news over the past few days has had its ups and downs. A 16-year-old boy visiting with his parents from Minnesota fell 24 stories to his death from a beachside resort Sunday in Daytona Beach. He decided to stack up some chaits on the balcony so he could see the sun rise and he fell. That was unexpected, tragic and shocking. A man was shot by another the day before in Daytona Beach in a Spring Break-related incident and is on life support. This, too, was unexpected and tragic, but I can't say it was shocking, considering the event associated with it often involves alcohol and drugs.
