NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Several thousand people are expected Thursday on Flagler Avenue for the annual Food Festival, with dozens of restaurants offering samples of their best cuisine for a nominal price. "New Smyrna Beach High School is pleased to announce that Alexandria A. Spradlin is a finalist," Principal Jim Tager said.
Spradlin is one of 14,400 semifinalists in the 57th annual National Merit Scholarship program. She is the daughter of Christina and Gregory Spradlin.
DELAND -- The regular meeting of the Volusia Growth Management Commission scheduled for Wednesday, April 25, has been canceled due to lack of substantive agenda items, the county said in a press release.
The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in the County Council Chambers in DeLand.
