NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- A Celebration of Life and visitation for 60-year-old Daniel N. Raimondo, who died tragically Tuesday when he was hit by a motorist on his bicycle, will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Chapel, 1 North Causeway.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- A 60-year-old bicyclist lost his life after pedaling into the path of an oncoming car on Peninsula Drive, just south of the intersection with Flagler Avenue just after 2:08 p.m. Tuesday, New Smyrna Beach police said.

Today while thousands of New Smyrna Beach residents enjoyed the extended holiday weekend, he and several hundred others marched in celebration of Martin Luther King Day.

The recent rains meant more water as shown in this small creek at Veterans Memorial Park on Riverside Drive in Edgewater.

ORANGE CITY, Fla. -- A 51-year-old woman found dead in her home Tuesday morning has been ruled a homicide victim, and Volusia County Sheriff's investigators have named a former co-worker of hers a "person of interest" in the slaying.
