Daytona's Bike Week 2022 well underway with lots of bikes, babes, and beer

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- They're back! Bikers, babes, and beer galore are here in greater Daytona Beach for the 81st annual Bike Week, the largest motorcycle rally in the USA.  

Welcome to Daytona Bike Week 2022 with key destinations on Main Street, considered ground zero, as well as Destination Daytona in nearby Ormond Beach and other locals throughout East Central Florida.

Bike Week Daytona / Headline SurferThe 10-day motorcycle rally started Friday and is expected to draw between 300,000 to 400,000 bikers from across the US and Canada, though the Sunshine State has more than its share of bikers from Orlando, Sanford, Tampa, Miami, Naples, St. Augustine, and Jacksonville.

There are countless more starting points within Florida and elsewhere to Bike Week in Daytona Beach. 

Daytona's Bike Week in the past couple of decades has drawn upwards of 500,000 motorcycle enthusiasts annually, but the last few years have drawn far less.

“This is our third year going through COVID and most of the businesses have readjusted themselves numerous times to make sure a lot of safety precautions are in place,” said Janet Kersey, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce, organizer. of the rally. “We want a happy, healthy environment to live in and happy healthy visitors as well.
