DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Looks like rain is in the forecast in greater Daytona Beach this weekend and through the week ahead, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

Currently, it is artly sunny, with a high near 89 with a north northeast wind of around 5 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. 

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 3 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Light and variable wind becoming north northeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
