DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- State Rep. David Santiago, R-Deltona, announced today he is a candidate for the newly-redrawn U.S. House District 6, encompassing all of Volusia and Flagler counties, as well as parts of Lake and St. Johns.
“Our nation is at a crossroads," Santiago told HeadlineSurfer.com in a prepared statement emailed this morning, announcing his candidacy for the 6th Congressuonal seat. "We need real leaders with the courage and proven experience to do what’s best for our community, as well as our nation and world. After my two terms fighting for the residents of Volusia County in the Florida House of Representatives, I eagerly announce my candidacy for the vacant Sixth Congressional District."
