DAYTONA BEACH -- Adsil, a Daytona Beach manufacturer of protective and energy-saving coatings, has been awarded contracts by the U.S. National Park Service and U.S. Postal Service to apply its clear coating to HVAC systems throughout the Southeast.

DELAND -- Since 1996, the Florida High Tech Corridor Council through its Matching Grants Research Program, has leveraged the strengths of the three corridor universities -- University of Central Florida, University of South Florida and the University of Florida -- to assist established high-growth technology firms develop and commercialize emerging technologies.
DELAND -- The DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce will host a State of West Volusia panel discussion featuring the mayors of DeBary, DeLand, Deltona, Lake Helen, Orange City and Pierson.
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The Small Business Development Center will present a seminar entitled: Get Your Business Ready for the Good Times to Come – Listening to Your Business. The session will be 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. Thursday at the New Smyrna Beach-Edgewater campus of Daytona State College, 940 Tenth St., portable 101, New Smyrna Beach.
DELAND -- Economic gardening loan program funds are still available. Don’t wait until the $5.8 million loan fund is gone. If you are a for-profit company, employ 10-50 employees, and generate at least $1 million in revenue annually, you may be eligible for this program.
DELAND -- The Volusia County Council will have a workshop at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, to consider alternatives to the economic development system in the county. The proposed Metro Daytona Volusia Economic Development Corp. will make a presentation.
DELAND -- Volusia County government business leaders are encouraging prospective business owners to take advantage of opportunities offered by America’s Recovery Capital Loan Program of the Small Business Administration. It can provide up to $35,000 in short-term relief for viable small businesses facing immediate financial hardship to help ride out the current uncertain economic times and return to profitability.
