DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Willie J. Kimmons, an academian and civic giant in Daytona Beach's African-American community and a candidate for countywide office in the November elections was investigated on allegations by a woman that he "brutally raped" back in February, but because she didn't report her claim for several days and Kimmons represented by legal counsel would not answer questions by cops investigating it, the State Attorney's Office "no info'd" the case in June.

Edgewater man, Daniekl Cravener, arrested in Georgia on warrant alleging possessiion of child pornography / Headline Surfer®EDGEWATER, Fla. -- A local man is in custody in Georgia, facing 30 counts of child pornography, after the Volusia County Sheriff's Office received a tip earlier this year the 53-year-old Edgewater man had been downloading images of young children engaged in sexual situations, including a girl performing a sex act on a dog, an agency spokesman said.

Ordinarily a third-degree felony, the charges against Daniel Cravener were elevated to second-degree felonies because some of the downloaded images found in his possession included victims believed to be as young as 5 years old, Sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson stated in a press release earlier on this Saturday,  which was emailed to Headline Surfer® and other Central Florida media outlets that provide daily breaking news coverage.

SANFORD, Fla. -- On Nov. 21 at 12:58 p.m. a then-unknown man entered the Bank of America, 3094 South Orlando Drive.

Here is a synopsis of what happened as described in a press release sent to HeadlineSurfer.com and other Central Florida media outlets: The suspect entered the financial institution and approached a teller, demanding an unknown amount of currency.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black bandana on his head, sunglasses, a black shirt, jeans, a sports coat, and blue sneakers. The suspect was described as having a thin build and possibly in his late twenties or early thirties. Furthermore, the suspect fled the scene without removing any currency from the financial institution.

SANFORD, Fla. -- On Nov. 5, just minutes before high noon, a then-unknown gunman brazenly walked into the Harbor Community Bank, 251 West First St., and stuck a handgun in the face of a teller before fleeing with the loot in one hand and gun in the other.

"The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded money from a bank employee," Sanford cop Ronny Neal told Headline Surfer® and other Central Florida media outlets that day, "It is unknown the amount of money obtained. Furthermore, the suspect fled the scene and is considered armed and dangerous."

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. -- A 24-year-old Ohio man saw two under-age teen girls coming out of the women's public bathrooms at the Flagler Avenue Beach ramp and brazenly unbuttoned and then unzipped his shorts, pulled out his penis and began masturbating, over the weekend, according to an arrest report from the Volusia County Office of Beach Safety.

The object of his desire? Two teen gals -- ages 14 and 16 -- who got an eyeful -- as he walked by and started zipping up again. But there were another set of eyes on him: A Beach Safety cop who was in his vehicle in the parking lot adjacent to the beach ramp.
