We need to strive not to make the same mistakes as we did last year: You know, eat to much, drink to much, and argue about small meaningless things.
We need to look forward to making changes that will influence our lives in a positive way. Take our beautiful city and its water front. We need to once again look to the lagoon as our source of revenue, as it once was. The opportunity is there we just need to explore our options and make plans in this new year to do so.
The map shows the location of the 12:30 p.m. Tuesday Deltona fatality.DELTONA -- A 20-year-old DeBary man became Volusia County's first highway fatality of the new year when he lost control of his motorcyle on DeBary Avenue near the intersection of Providence Boulevard and struck a stop sign before crashing the bike, a Sheriff's spokesman said.

The victim was described only as an adult male, and though authorities know his identity, they're not releasing any further information until his family is first notified.
