NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Olivia and Nicholas Catheline already had their costumes on this morning and Halloween doesn't even begin until dark. But that's because they have parties at school, said their proud mom, Misty Burris Catheline.

Sanford-based district announces passing of community leader

SANFORD -- It was three years ago when Diane Bauer was running for re-election in her non-partisan district 1 seat on the Seminole County School Board that she got a hug from Marco Rubio on her way to yet another victory.

Macedonia church minister's Sunday visit part of 113th anniversary celebration

DAYTONA BEACH -- The Rev. Willie C. Barnes of Eatonville will be the featured speaker for the 11 a.m. Sunday service commemmorating the 113th anniversary of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Greater Friendship is located at 539 George W Engram Blvd. Barnes is the pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Eatonville.

 He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering.

Source: Jailed husband confessed to killings, but won't say where bodies are

DELTONA -- The Deltona mother and her children missing since Wednesday are confirmed dead, the victims all murdered, Headline Surfer® has confirmed.

Volusia County Sheriff's investigators have yet to recover the bodies of 28-year-old Yessenia Suarez and her two children, 8-year-old Michael Otto and 9-year-old Thalia Otto, while the suspected killer, Luis Toledo, the woman's husband, remains jailed without bail on a domestic violence charge the before she and the kids disappeared.

WINDEMERE -- Johnny Damon, who played on World Series championship teams with the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, lives in Windemere, He has a second home on the beachside of New Smyrna Beach where he enjoys crabbing on the North Causeway.

Soap opera not over: Case of Shellie Zimmerman's shattered iPad ongoing

Photos for Headline Surfer / Georege Zimmerman still has an open case pending against him with Lake Mary police abd that's an alleged incident Sept. 9, in which his estranged wife, Shellie, claims he shattered her iPad while she an her father were moving items from the home the Zimmermans were living in owned by her parents. George Zimmerman was taken into custody that day as shown here, but he was not arrested.

LAKE MARY -- The lead defense counsel for George Zimmerman, who was acquitted at trial of second-degree murder in the gunshot slaying of Trayvon Martin in neighboring Sanford, was willing to write out a check to cover $4,400 worth of items his client's estranged wife and her parents claimed were stolen from the home the couple lived in, but Lake Mary cops declined.

DELTONA -- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating a mother and her two children who are considered missing and endangered under suspicious circumstances stemming from a domestic violence situation in Lake Mary involving her husband who has since been apprehended and jailed in Daytona Beach.
