Not only is Dennis off the board, but the public no longer has direct access to the Observer, which no longer has a legal physical location.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH — Kimberly L. Clayton, MD, has been named “Physician of the Year” by Bert Fish Medical Center, a spokeswoman for the hospital announced today.

"Dr. Clayton, a general surgeon, was recognized at a March 30 celebration of Doctors’ Day at the hospital on by hospital CEO Ed Noseworthy in recognition of her dedication to quality health care and for her caring, compassionate treatment of her patients," Bert Fish spokeswoman Cheryl Kennison said.

TALLAHASSEE -- Gov. Scott released a statement Tuesday on pending legislation dealing with pharmaceutical drugs.

"I applaud Speaker Cannon, Representative Schenck and the Judiciary and Health and Human Services Committees for putting forward legislation that combats prescription drug abuse and criminal pill mills. I am also grateful to the House Appropriations Committee for unanimously passing this bill.

DAYTONA BEACH – Army Spc. Keith T. Buzinski of Daytona Beach was killed when his unit in Afghanistan was attacked by small arms fire, the Department of Defense confirmed Saturday. He was 26 years old when he lost his life.
