DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Main Street Bridge was closed for several hours this morning due to a motorcycle accident that left a bike dangling from the drawbridge.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla, -- An arrest has been made in the murders of a married couple who were found dead four days ago as they were heading home from Bike Week festivities on Main Street.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- A $50,000 reward is now being offered by Daytona Beach Police for anyone who has information leading to an arrest in the murders of a husband and wife who were murdered after leaving the Bike Week festivities on Main Street early Sunday under cover of darkness.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- A local husband and wife on bicycles checking out the Bike Week scene on Main Street were found brutally murdered on a side street over the weekend - both stabbed multiple times and their throats slashed, Daytona Beach cops said.

DAYTONA BEACH,  Fla. -- Five motorcycle riders have died in four different crashes around Central Florida since Saturday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- They're back! Bikers, babes, and beer galore are here in greater Daytona Beach for the 81st annual Bike Week, the largest motorcycle rally in the USA.  

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- One man is in stable condition at a local hospital and another is detained by the Daytona Beach Police Department after cops responded to the shooting off of Main Street on the first Sunday of Bike Week 2022, a Daytona Beach police spokesman said.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bike Week is coming to an end and so far attendance has been light and fatalities have been limited to one.

The "500,000 bikers" figure that the Daytona-area Chamber of Commerce and local media have used for years has been exaggerated for the better part of a decade now.

And this year, there hasn't even been half that number of visitors for the 10-day rally that ends Sunday.

And as a result, fatalities are down, too. The lone biker fatality occurred in Deltona, though because it occurred during Bike Week, it's considered part of the biker rally since it's in the same county.

A motorcyclist lost his life Monday afternoon in a collision with a school bus in Deltona. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Bike Week is here and despite the ongoing construction for the ongoing $400 million "Daytona Rising" modernization project, there are plenty of activities for biker enthusiasts, from motocross races to demo rides and trade shows.
