DAYTONA BEACH -- Though neither is from Daytona Beach, that didn't stop Mayor Derrick Henry from capitalizing on the PR that comes with welcoming new-found celebrities Alex and Sierra of the X-Factor reality show with keys to the city during a performance Thursday night at the bandshell on the "world's most famous beach."

The superstars of the WWE were last here at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach two years ago with WWE champion John Cena headlining the house show, shown in the orange shirt. Newcomers The Shield, could be on the card with him when the WWE returns to the Ocean Center in June. Tickets go on sale, 10 a.m. May 10.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Catch all the action and excitement of World Wrestling Entertainment Live when professional wrestling stars return to the Ocean Center at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 22.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach is pleased to announce another season of WonderLand Children's Theatre, its youth theatre program. Held on six Wednesday afternoons, starting on Jan. 23, its mission is to encourage youngsters to participate in and learn about the performing arts.

The Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach will present "On Golden Pond" a drama by Ernest Thompson, beginning April 13.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- An American classic of the stage and screen, "On Golden Pond" won a Tony award for Best Revival of a Play in 2005.  Now you can see a local production here at the Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach.

Ethel and Norman Thayer are once again spending the summer in their country home in Maine on a lake called Golden Pond. It is Norman’s 80th birthday and they are visited by their estranged daughter Chelsea with her fiancé and his young son.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The New Smyrna Beach Little Theatre will hold auditions from for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, at the theater, 726 East Third Ave. on the beachside.

"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical with lyrics by Tim Rice. The story is based on the "coat of many colors" story of Joseph from the Hebrew Bible's Book of Genesis.

DELAND -- Stetson University student Jason Sauter isn't necessarily a big fan of the Royal Wedding, but his girlfriend is, and he won a CNN contest to cover it. And she's going with him.
